CB IELTS is the computerized version of IELTS. This is the same test that this test Pen and Paper. I just delivered differently. Test consists of listening, reading and writing. The test of listening and reading should be taken on the computer. The writing test can be taken either on the computer or on paper.
Oral CB IELTS tests are conducted face to face, as is currently done. Currently, only the academic module is available in the CB IELTS.
CB IELTS is initially introduced in a limited number of IELTS centers, selected on the basis of specific technical and administrative requirements. The availability of computer-based tests will increase gradually to meet the development needs of both candidates and score users worldwide. IELTS partners intend to gather feedback from initial deployment and a plan to increase the number of centers offering computer test in the future.
CB IELTS Request must contact one of the centers offering CB IELTS. Contact details can be found on the IELTS website (www.ielts.org). Please note that places are limited and must request a test as soon as possible. Costs the same as the test paper based IT IELTS test.
Oral and written CB IELTS test is done by computer, while responses to the writing test are marked by IELTS examiners qualified in the same way as the paper version. This approach maintains the security, validity and consistency for the IELTS is internationally recognized. The oral test is not taken electronically. To maintain our personal approach, all IELTS oral test conducted face to face takes. CB IELTS and paper are labeled with the same nine-band scale. There is no difference between the difficulty of the test on the test computer and paper.
All candidates receive their test scores in the two weeks IELTS test. Method of testing a candidate report will look the same if IELTS sit on your computer or on paper. For consistency and security, all IELTS candidates must wait 90 days between each test session, whether it is a test on a computer or on paper.
